Active Servo Tuning (also known as Adaptive Servo Tuning or Online Tuning) refers to a process in which a servo drive automatically optimizes its control parameters during operation. The goal is to improve the performance of the servo system—such as positioning accuracy, dynamics, stability, and low vibrations—without manual intervention. For complex control tasks, an iterative approach is often necessary, which also includes reviewing the frequency response of a machine. For this purpose, Smart Tracing offers a module that supports this iterative, analytical approach with an intuitive user interface. These recordings are also archived for quality control purposes and can be referenced whenever critical questions arise.
