Large-scale production (in the automotive industry, for example) not only places high expectations on product accuracy but also demands maximum productivity with minimal costs. The requirements with respect to tool accuracy, service life, adjustability of the tools and regrinding capability of the blades are fulfilled by the ARCON® and SPIRON® cutter head system. In single and small series, customers demand tools that can be employed universally for the production of bevel gears with different modules, while at the same time offering high productivity and low tool costs. For these applications, the Klingelnberg Zyklo-Palloid® tool system provides individual solutions with AMK blades made from HSS or holders equipped with carbide cutting plates for soft cutting and BN-equipped HPG-S clamping blades for hard finishing. The advantage of the Zyklo-Palloid® system is that the tools can be adjusted quickly and used in a larger module range.
