KLINGELNBERG: SIX MILLION EUROS TO BE INVESTED IN HÜCKESWAGEN SITE

Klingelnberg has ambitious goals for its Hückeswagen site: The region will soon be home to nothing less than the world’s best manufacturing in the gear industry. To make this a reality, the company has earmarked six million euros for investment in the building infrastructure as well as ultra-modern production technology.

Klingelnberg has already made a good name for itself in the gear industry, thanks to its highly skilled employees, specialized technological know-how, and innovative ideas. However, the mechanical engineering firm has no intention of resting on its laurels: “We currently have many orders on the books. Our aim is to continue to expand this strong market position,” explains Martin Boelter, Managing Director of Production & Technology. “All signs are clearly pointing to further growth!” And that’s why Klingelnberg is investing a tidy seven-digit sum at its Hückeswagen plant.

Klingelnberg has a high concentration of specialized technicians who possess the requisite technical skills – a situation seldom seen in the gear industry. Very few other mechanical engineering firms in the market can claim a knowledge base approaching this level. This provides ideal conditions for the Hückeswagen-based company to set itself apart from the competition and establish itself as a perennial market leader. In view of this, Klingelnberg continues to “tweak” its long-term production strategy internally: Optimizing production processes, cutting costs, and repositioning the company sites are just a few of the actions the company has undertaken. Six million euros are being invested just at Hückeswagen, which will be developed into a cutting edge production facility. Measures will include expanding and modernizing the shop floors and bringing Klingelnberg's machine fleet up to state-of-the-art standards: Four advanced-technology machine tools are set to replace established installations. The first new machine was already delivered in August of this year. “Technical developments are continuing at a fast pace. We are drawing on this to provide our employees with optimal conditions in which to bring their potential together with the latest production technology. In this way, we are ensuring that Klingelnberg will always be synonymous with the highest quality standards and high-precision components in manufacturing,” says Martin Boelter. And the Managing Director for Production & Technology has a secret to reveal:  “Here at Hückeswagen, we have a lot planned for the coming years: In addition to modernizing our shop floors and acquiring modern machine tools, a great deal of forward-looking projects are in the works in Product Development.” There can be no clearer commitment to Germany and the region as a center of manufacturing excellence.
