Effective immediately for the coming year, Klingelnberg is partnering with the Berufskolleg Hückeswagen, Privatschule Bergischer Unternehmen gGmbH in Germany, to give young people the chance to complete their training and earn their school-leaving certificate in three years – and to dovetail these qualifications afterward with a combined study program.
Training plus the school-leaving exam – that's nothing new in Hückeswagen. This concept offers young people new opportunities and brings them closer to the economy in Germany's Bergisches Land region. This approach has also been embraced by Klingelnberg, a company with deep roots in the region, in which the promotion of new talent has always played a major role. Accordingly, Klingelnberg is joining the Berufskolleg Hückeswagen as a training partner. In addition, Klingelnberg is offering a novel approach with the "3+3" idea, which combines training, the school-leaving exam and a dual study program. In the first step, ambitious students from the surrounding area have the chance to complete their training and obtain their school-leaving certificate within three years. Suitable candidates can then continue with the "next career step" and participate in a three-year dual study program, which also takes place in close cooperation with Klingelnberg. With this novel approach, Klingelnberg combines training with the school-leaving certificate, as well as offering qualified trainees the opportunity to take the "next career step" in the form of academic studies.
"This promotion of qualified new talent is not just a chance for young people in Hückeswagen; it also boosts local training and study opportunities – and thus strengthens our base here in Hückeswagen," says Ellen Ludwig, Human Resources Director at Klingelnberg GmbH. In this way, Klingelnberg is attracting highly qualified young people. "Particularly in view of demographic trends, every company today is challenged to find new ways and adopt new approaches for arousing the enthusiasm of highly skilled young people for the company and gaining their loyalty over the long-term," explains the HR Director in summary.
