To kick off the new training year, Klingelnberg welcomed 18 new apprentices on 03 August 2020. Five young professionals began their training in commercial management, ten in the commercial/technical field, and three of those embarking on their professional careers began their dual-track studies in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, and information technology.

In-house training at Klingelnberg is in high demand. “We go to great lengths to foster the professionals of tomorrow by providing practical, modern professional training. Again in 2020, we are thrilled to be on this journey with these young people as they launch their careers,” said Dennis Weiche, Head of Human Resources at Klingelnberg. The system supplier’s training concept is also reflected in its quality. In recent years, for example, Klingelnberg graduate apprentices have been recognized for their outstanding achievements with a certificate of honor from the Cologne Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

A welcome week organized in part by second- and third-year apprentices facilitated the new trainees’ start at the company. During the five-day introductory phase, the novice professionals first received important information about the company and initial product training. This included a visit to the Peterstraße/Hückeswagen plant as well as a visit to the ultra-modern large bevel gear production facility located in Heinrich-Schicht-Straße, at the nearby Winterhagen/Hückeswagen facility. A tour of the individual departments provided further interesting insights into the daily operations of a global company.

At the end of the program, the new trainees incorporated their impressions from the first week into a company presentation, which they then delivered to their future co-workers and supervisors.

And finally, to strengthen the team spirit, various sports activities were planned in addition to the many informational and professional aspects: the career starters showed their team spirit by successfully completing the specified course at GHW Climbing GmbH. All of the trainees at Klingelnberg GmbH then finished the introduction phase together with an afternoon barbecue.
