Machine manufacturing firm Klingelnberg can look back on a long history. Since 1863, Klingelnberg has been devoted to manufacturing gearbox components – and during this time has become a world leader in the gear industry. Today, research and development engineers are tasked with developing specific solutions for just about every industry, in close cooperation with Klingelnberg customers. The system supplier also offers one of the best gear measuring technologies currently available and has realized a machine- and software-inclusive Closed Loop system for bevel and cylindrical gear production based on software it developed in-house – resulting in a fully automatic connection between production machines from different manufacturers and Klingelnberg measuring technology.

“Software is essential nowadays,” explains Jan Häger, Head of New Software Development at Klingelnberg. That is why we are currently seeking additional software developers with a passion for technology to support our 20-member team,” says Häger. Jan Häger, himself employed by Klingelnberg for 15 years, explains: “Many in the Oberbergischer Kreis area may not even know that Klingelnberg is far more than just a machine manufacturing firm. For example, Klingelnberg employs a large number of well-trained software employees around the world. In Hückeswagen, the company is even one of the area’s largest software developers. That is because software plays a key role in the performance and in the many potential applications of the machines. For this reason, Klingelnberg has been developing its own comprehensive Windows-based application software in-house for many years and has evolved into a modern software company.”

Recently garnered industry awards attest to Klingelnberg’s ranking among innovative machine manufacturers. In 2018, the machine manufacturing firm was recognized with the Best of Industry Award in the “Industry 4.0” category from the trade magazine MM Maschinenmarkt. And in 2020, it earned the same award in the “Measuring Technology” category. The company has currently been nominated for the German Innovation Awards 2021 with its “Done-in-One – Complete Measurement in a Single Stage” solution, also in measuring technology.

“We’re not just innovative; we’re also a great, experienced team,” says Alexander Troska, Head of Software Development, Measuring Devices at Klingelnberg. “We offer challenging work rooted in a fascinating technological background. And we are quite diversified. Our customers worldwide include users from the automotive, wind power, mining, agriculture, aviation, and robot industries, as well as electromobility.”

The machine manufacturing firm currently has four open positions in the Software Measuring Technology division. The vacancies can be viewed on the Klingelnberg website at Interested candidates are encouraged to contact Markus Fiedler in Human Resources (bewerbungen(at)
