Machine manufacturer Klingelnberg has big plans again heading into 2017: In addition to the shop floor modernization that was carried out in 2016 and the investment in state-of-the-art metal-cutting machines at its site in Hückeswagen, Germany, the company is now announcing plans to expand its workforce in the coming year.

“This step just makes sense,” explains Christoph Küster, Managing Director for Human Resources and Finance, announcing the exciting news.  “Our company is continuously expanding. This is particularly evident in our many new product developments and unique innovations. Now it is a case of speeding up the process of launching our new products onto the market. In order to accomplish this, we plan to expand our Sales and Marketing workforce at our sites in Ettlingen and Hückeswagen in Germany and the one in Zurich, Switzerland.

The latest development, which was only announced by the company recently, is the networking of a cylindrical gear machine directly with a measuring device.  This technology was previously reserved for bevel gear machines. In this way, Klingelnberg is forging ahead with Industry 4.0 digitization in gear manufacturing. Other product innovations will be presented to a wider audience at the next EMO trade fair, which is taking place in Hanover, Germany, from September 18 to 23, 2017.

However, it is not just the Sales and Marketing team which is going to expand; the Service & After Sales area will also be gaining reinforcements. “Our company currently has an extremely good order book situation, and we intend to back up our strong market position with excellent service.  In order to do this, we are looking for skilled professionals in many different areas,” Küster continues.
