Participating companies will have the opportunity to network with leading experts, discuss trends, and gain concrete insights to apply in their daily work.
“With the WZL Gear Conference USA, we have a platform where the latest scientific findings are directly applied to industrial use,” explains Fabian Wolf, CEO of KLINGELNBERG America, Inc. “We are delighted to welcome, together with WZL RWTH Aachen, leading representatives of the North American gear and drive technology sector.”
Exchange at the highest level: Research trends and practical solutions
The conference focuses on current research activities related to gear development and manufacturing. Participants will gain insight into the WZL’s latest projects and have the opportunity to exchange ideas with representatives from academia and industry during discussions and networking sessions.
Live at KLINGELNBERG in Saline: On-site machine demonstrations
In addition to the conference program, KLINGELNBERG America, Inc. cordially invites all participants to visit its facility in Saline, Michigan, on the second day. There, visitors can experience state-of-the-art machinery and measurement technology firsthand.
About WZL RWTH Aachen University
The Department of Gear Technology conducts research in the areas of gear manufacturing, gear NVH, and gear power density that is unique in Europe. Its research activities are characterized by a holistic approach that encompasses the entire process chain of gear and gear technology – from design to manufacturing and measurement technology to operational behavior. A unique selling point is the combination of fundamental research with practical challenges along the entire development and process chain. This enables the effective utilization of synergy effects and the development of holistic problem solutions that are specifically tailored to the requirements of the member companies of the WZL Gear Research Circle. Together with our partners, we develop bilateral, tailor-made solutions and are actively involved in research projects supported by industry associations such as VDW (German Machine Tool Builders' Association), FVA (German Research Association for Drive Technology), and AGMA (American Gear Manufacturers Association), as well as by public funding programs.
The Department of Gear Technology is historically and technically an integral part of the Laboratory for Machine Tools and Production Engineering (WZL) and the Manufacturing Technology Institute (MTI). It forms a central interface for interdisciplinary research and promotes the efficient exchange of knowledge and technology between the fields of operational behavior of gears (Chair of Machine Tools at WZL) and the gear manufacturing technology (Chair of Manufacturing Technology at MTI). This close connection of different specialist expertise creates valuable synergies that drive the development of innovative solutions in gear technology and sustainably promote scientific progress.
